National law firm Weightmans has bolstered its London office with the addition of two lateral hires in its healthcare and regulatory teams.
Kiran Sekhon joins the firm as a healthcare partner from Capsticks, where she was a partner in the clinical law team for five years.
She specialises in medical defence litigation advising NHS Resolution and NHS Trusts/bodies. She has also worked on behalf of the General Dental Council investigating dentist's conduct and preparing cases for hearing.
Lili Oliver has meanwhile been appointed as a partner in Weightmans’ Regulatory team. She joins the firm from Clyde and Co, where she was Head of Corporate Risk in the Safety, Health and Environmental department. Prior to Clyde and Co, Oliver spent 13 years at DAC Beachcroft.
Oliver represents corporate bodies, their officers and other individuals subject to investigation and prosecution in relation to a full range of criminal and regulatory offences arising out of serious and fatal incidents.
Tim Lang, Partner and Head of Weightmans’ London office, said: “Lili and Kiran are true leaders in their fields and great additions to our fast-growing London offering. We are so proud that we continue to attract such expert talent – our fantastic client base and reputation for solutions-driven service has seen us welcome almost 20 new partners across the firm this year alone, and we are looking forward to continuing this momentum into next year.”
