Atlantic Chambers

Having been located for many years in Castle Street, Atlantic Chambers were born in 2003 when we relocated to custom designed premises at 4-6 Cook Street in the heart of the legal and commercial district of Liverpool.  Although a modern set we can trace our roots back to the very beginnings of the Liverpool bar.
Our aim is to meet the needs and expectations of our clients in every respect. We are a large multi-discipline set, and we have members at all levels of seniority including Queens Counsel.  Our clerking and administrative teams give us good quality support and are flexible and accommodating in order to meet your requirements.
We have specialists in most areas of Civil Litigation including personal injury, Clinical Negligence, Occupational Disease, Professional Negligence, Family law, Chancery & Commercial law, Employment law, Criminal law including Proceeds of Crime and Public & Administrative law.

Several of our barristers are ranked in the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK.

As part of our client care procedures I set out below a summary of how Chambers provides its services.

Organisation & Quality: Chambers and its members operate in accordance with the Bar Council’s Code of Conduct and Practice Management Guidelines. Our administration has met the requirements of the Quality Mark standard, as audited by the Legal Services Commission. Detailed information relating to our client care service standards, complaints procedures and equality & diversity policies can be found on our website.

Confidentiality: When members of Chambers are acting against each other, separate clerking facilities are arranged. If you have concerns in this regard please speak with the Head Clerk.
Terms: Your instructions are accepted in accordance with Terms of Work on which Barristers offer their Services to Solicitors or under our standard Conditional Fee Agreement both of which can be viewed in full by clicking on the link.

Premises and facilities: Chambers has extensive conference facilities including those necessary for mediation, joint settlement and video link meetings. We have level access via 43 Castle Street as well as toilet facilities for wheelchair users.
Socially responsible working practices: Chambers aim to recycle all waste paper, cardboard, toner cartridges and other disposable office equipment. All our major office equipment is fitted energy saving mechanisms. As well as regularly supporting the children’s charity; Barnardo’s members of chambers also offer pro bono legal services and volunteer support to not-for-profit legal service providers.

We regularly provide CPD accredited seminars in many areas of practice.  These seminars can be hosted in chambers, at your offices or at other external venues.  Please register via our website if you would like to be included on our database for future events.

Atlantic Chambers is committed to equal opportunities and operates equality, diversity and non-discrimination policies in recruitment and the provision of our services.
